CEL (China Energy Label)

Certificate Introduction:

Energy efficiency labeling, also known as energy efficiency labeling, is an information label attached to energy consuming products or their smallest packaging, indicating performance indicators such as product energy efficiency level. Its purpose is to provide necessary information for users and consumers in purchasing decisions, to guide and assist consumers in selecting high energy efficiency and energy-saving products.

In order to strengthen energy conservation management, promote the progress of energy-saving technology, and improve energy efficiency, in accordance with the Energy Conservation Law of the People's Republic of China, the Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Certification and Accreditation Regulations of the People's Republic of China, the Energy Efficiency Labeling Management Office is formulated. This method was reviewed and approved by the Director's Office Meeting of the National Development and Reform Commission on July 13, 2004, and the Executive Meeting of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on August 11, 2005. It is now promulgated and will come into effect on March 1, 2005.

The new version of the Energy Efficiency Labeling Management Measures will be implemented from June 1, 2016. The Management Measures for Energy Efficiency Labeling, issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on August 13, 2004, are simultaneously abolished.
